WORST RESTAURANT EVER.............SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. I went there with a few friend and i have to say we waited for the food to be served for over 45 mins because we were a party of 8. When we were done eating the waitress picked up all the plates and left. We waited for over 30 mins but she kept ignoring us. she decided it was more important to clean tables than to pay attention to customers. We had to tell her to get us our check. after terrible service they charged us gratuity and on top of that they charged us gratuity. I will never go back to this place the name says it all ROCKBOTTOM!!!!! more

We were a party of 8 who admittedly arrived late-ish (around 10.15 pm). We were seated at the bar and informed by the server that they were still serving a ""late night menu"". After that, she did not return for 15 minutes to take our order even though the restaurant was quite empty. When we finally had managed to flag her down, she seemed reluctant to take our order and was rather curt and not very polite. Everyone orderd a plate of finger food and a beer. I went to Rockbottom in Long Beach yesterday, and the customer service was horrible. I've heard this from my friends from their experience, but I decided to take the risk. Their thoughts were true, and it was a very inconvenient experience. First, the host was rude when she wanted us to sit right away, even though my friend and I were waiting for our friend. Second, although we were a large party, the server acted very unfriendly when she took our orders. Third, she took very long to take our orders, bring out our food, and was not courteous enough to refill our drinks or check up on us at all unless we asked her ourselves for assistance. Fourth, our meat was supposed to be well done, and there was still red on the meat. The serve did not even say sorry and only offered to cook it longer. Lastly, we walked out without any thank-you's, and the employees seemed to pay more attention to themselves than their customers throughout our whole experience. Due to this one experience, and one experience alone, I will not be returning to Rock Bottom. Pros: Food was okay Cons: Horrible customer service more

We rented the banquet room for an event and it was an awful experience. They changed all the prices and rules last minute. We finally got in there at a much higher price and they didnt calculate our bill correctly. Service was slow and the waitress was rude. Never use this place for their banquet room. Food was decent. This restaurant certainly lives up to it's name - The Rock Bottom. I've been to the restaurant a total of three times and have received horrible service on each visit. Many of the waiters act as if they don't really want to be there and it shows in the quality of service they provide. My appetizer was forgotten on one visit. The very next visit after ordering, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive!! Weekends or game days seem to be worse as there are too many customers and too few waiters. If you have a few hours to spend waiting for dinner, this is the place to go. The food is wonderful (when you finally get it)but the service is terrible!! I wasn't expecting much, since they're a chain and they really focus more on beer than food, but I had the chicken enchiladas and I thought they were great. Good and cheesy, just like I like them. The chicken was smoked, not boiled like at some places. Of course, I did have to sample the beer and was pretty pleased about that, too. I had the stout. It was good, and not bitter.
