A Good and Fair Family Day Out 8/17/2005

The Rochester (New York) Red Wings, the Minnesota Twins minor league club, offers a good afternoon or night out at the baseball field. Frontier Field offers probably the best view of the Rochester skyline and the concession stands are above average, offering a wide array of local food options. As for the team, it is consistently good (the Brewers have a great farm system), and fan-friendly. The fans' response is awesome, which is seen by the fact that evening games are frequently very full. In short, if you are looking for a nice minor league ballgame, the Red Wings are a very good bet. Sadly, a lot of games are played in the afternoon and hard to catch for the working crowd. more

Great Night at the Diamond 8/15/2005

I have only been to see the Rochester Red Wings a few times, but I know that it is some quality baseball. The price of tickets is not bad at all, and the atmosphere is amazing. You are surrounded with fans who love baseball, and are thrilled to be there. It is a very upbeat, and popular place. They offer the signature Red Wings beer at the game, and the price of food and drink is actually quite reasonable. The stadium is located downtown, and you can park on game nights for about $3. more

You can always have a good time here. The entertainment value for the price is very good. Parking is plenty and the people are great. Highly recommended for all looking for a good time at a good price. Weekends are better but weekdays are great as well. Fun for everyone. more

Great Great Great! 8/2/2005

This has got to be one of the best teams in the minors! They have a great line up and many of their guys have gone to the bigs with the Twins and before that with Baltimore. Every Friday for home games they have fireworks and they often have the local orchestra play before games. They also have day games which is great if you’re a stay at home mom looking to keep their kids happy! more
