I was in search of a new road bike and just getting inundated with all the adds and hype of this and that. Well I was fortunate enough to have allot of riding friends, whom I could look to for recommendations. Many of the riders in the clubs I ride with attempted to explain why not only the brand of bike and parts were important, and even more important to get the right bike for my needs. More than a few recommended a smallish shop in San Leandro, Robinson Wheelworks, when I visited on a Saturday these guys were super busy with other riders. Thing is they still made time to say HI and it may be a few minutes until we can help, then the she says ""would you like a cappuccino or tea "" which he made right there in the shop ! When it was my turn he asked what seemed like 20 questions, but I get it that he was figuring out what I wanted for a bike. After test rides, another visit where he took my measurements, then onto a stationary bike with more adjusting to make the bike fit my body. Now all I need to do is be patient for about one month until the frame arrives. I decided on a Seven Axiom titanium road bike with Shimano Dura Ace parts and Mavic Kysirum wheels. Great shop, great bikes to choose, nice people who listen to what you want ( Thank you to Chris and Maria ) no BS attitude towards women . Highly recommended shop IMO
Pros: Great advice and atitude They really understand what riders need
Cons: Set aside some time when you visit
