Absolutely THE best place to go for wonderful pet care! 11/1/2011

I love this place! The people are so wonderful and friendly. Before going I read the reviews and the negative ones kept me away. Boy am I sorry! Instead I went to the horrible place called Carolina Crossing in Benson. Because of how awful they are, we went to Dr. Head at Robinson's and love him. Their staff is so nice and he shows such compassion to my animals. I won't go anywhere else! more

A Compassionate & Trustworthy Veterinary Practice 8/23/2011

We were delighted to find Dr. Tom Head as the new owner of the veterinary practice at Robinson Animal Hospital in Clayton. Dr. Head was our dog Megan's vet for over two years when he practiced in Raleigh and we missed him for almost two months when he moved to Clayton. We like Dr. Head because he is compassionate, patiently explains medical conditions and treatment options and uses medications and testing judiciously. Megan is now receiving subcutaneous fluids twice a week to combat kidney disease and we are happy to drive the 21 miles each way from Raleigh to Clayton to reach a vet that we can communicate with and trust. \r \r Robinson Animal Hospital also has an excellent staff. The administrative personnel always gives Megan and me a warm friendly greeting and makes us feel really special. The technicians are well trained, competent and very gentle. Either Dr. Head or his staff call to follow up on Megan's condition after her treatments which shows they genuinely care about their patients. \r \r A final note from our experience: we have found the prices at Robinson to be slightly less expensive than Raleigh vets. This was a welcome discovery. more

Don't Go Here! 5/18/2009

You have to wait way too long and there are no other patients there. They are also ripping people off; especially people who are not familiar with vets. They charge 3 times what other vets (even ones in Raleigh) charge for vaccines. When you try to talk to them about what they are doing, you don't get a straight answer. I also told them that I only wanted three things done (a vaccine, a check up, and a fecal culture) they did more and charged me for it. Those ""three"" things that I wanted done ended up costing $190!!! Cons: Long wait; too expensive more

My dog LOVES his vet! 6/5/2008

I have always had positive experiences with Robinson Animal Hospital in Clayton. The front desk staff is friendly and warm; the doctors are fabulous. My dog is excited about going in - even when he has to have something unpleasant like shots. I highly recommend them. I've heard people say their prices are too high, but they are no higher in my opinion than many others out there. Pros: Everything - great people there! Cons: None so far! more

always willing to see my pets 11/27/2007

I really like bringing my 2 dogs and 3 cats to Robinson Animal Hospital. I've taken my animals there for about 4 years now. I have called them when my pets have been sick and they are willing to fit them in that day, not make me wait a few days! We moved from Raleigh 5 years ago and I couldn't get into my old vet hospital that fast! The staff members are very pleasant, and both doctors are willing to go the extra mile in finding out information for me. The hospital is always clean and odor free. They have had several doctors over the years I have been going there and they've all been good, but I like the two that are there now the best (Dr. Washington and Dr. Lewis) I always go home with something in writing to refer to for their problems-allergies, corneal ulcer, ear disease, cat viruses, what I should vaccinate them for, a sheet about their check-up today, etc. I have even been referred to a specialist when Dr. Lewis felt that was the best choice for my dog's ear surgery two years ago. They are very sweet with my cats who are grumpy when they are there. They aren't cheap but I expect to pay good money for great care. Pros: always go the extra mile more

""STICK WITH ONE DOCTOR "" 11/20/2007

Robinson Animal Hospital has a very warm and caring atmoshpere. I have been there several times with my dog and for the majority of them I was very impressed! You walk in and are warmly greeted by the receptionist. Both technicians are extremely compassionate and caring. I have seen Dr. Washington the majority of the visits because I have chosen to do so. She is very nice and understanding, she explains things so I can understand what is going on, she cares for my dog as if he were her own. I have also seen Dr. Lewis and I would advise against it! Dr. Lewis was very fast in talking and explaining things to me. She was very short with me when I had questions regarding my dogs care. She also talks very uproffesionaly and down to the staff. (ie. the technician assisting her in the room) I was VERY disappionted with the way she practices so therefore I stick with Dr. Washington for my dogs care and well being. Pros: This staff truly cares about their patients!! Cons: Dr. Lewis more

Best vet service in Clayton Great customer service 9/20/2007

Best vet in Clayton, When one of my dogs woke up crying in pain I called Robinson Animal Hospital first thing to see if I could get an appointment I explained that she was in pain and \r they immediately saw her. Dr Lewis was extremely friendly\r took the time to examine my dog and explain what could possible be wrong with her. When I went to pick her up at the\r end of the day Dr Lewis even took the time with me to show me how to help my dog with some therapy exercise and what to keep an eye out for. I found there prices extremely fair and reasonable. Dr Washington who is the other vet is also extremely friendly polite and also takes the time to go over things with you and they both answer any questions you may\r have. The whole staff at Robinson is polite and very helpful with any questions that you may have. I would highly reccomend Robinson Animal Hospital. I even take my other two dogs and two cats there. I also found that Dr Lewis even took the time to speak with my vet in New Jersey when my dog was hurting to discuss her care with her because she had a similar problem a couple years ago when I lived there. Dr\r Washington is the best vet ever its a shame that she is moving to another state she is extremely helpful always returns your call and will spend the time with you especially when I just had to in March of 08 put one of my dogs down due to cancer she will be missed especially by me and my pets and any vet in Kansas would be happy to have hear I wish her all the best Pros: office clean fiendly service reasonable fees Cons: none wish i was employed there more
