I recently had my car towed and days later found a piece underneath my car had cracked. It is a fairly cheap plastic piece, so I didn't car that much. However, I wanted to call and find out if this could have happened when it was towed. My car is brand new and under warranty, so I needed to figure out if it is a defect (which I doubt because I just got my car serviced) or if the driver accidentally cracked it. I either wanted to speak with the driver or the manager. Anyway, I was not even allowed to speak with anyone. The woman who answered the phone was practically yelling at me the entire time. You would have thought I was accusing her of murder. I had to say at one point, I'm not trying to get money out of you guys, I just want to know how/if this could happen when it was towed. She wouldn't let me explain anything and kept twisting my words around. She told me ""oh i talked to the guy who towed your car and he said it had to have been pre-existing damage"". OK, well did he see this damage when he was towing my car? It would be to his benefit to tell me this when I picked up my car and explain or show me how towing couldn't be respsonsible, so that I didn't think it was their fault. I still have no idea if it was pre-existing damage of not. I would be more likely to believe it wasn't their fault if the woman on the phone wasn't being horribly mean to me. This makes me think it was their fault. It was a shame because I would have easily let them off the hook if they had let me explain what happen and descibe the damage. Well, since I couldn't communicate with this woman, I just ended up saying good bye. There was no way she was going to listen to anything I had to say. I wasn't even mad, so I don't know why she was so angry. Anyway, hopefully you won't have to interact with this woman if you get your car towed and hopefully she was telling the truth and they don't damage cars. Her hostility makes me think otherwise.
