Roberts Plumbing & Repair Svc

I own a practically brand new former model home in Fuquay Varina with a nice elderly couple as my tenants. I was notified of a sink issue, where the hot water would come on, a loud buzzing and the water would slow to a crawl. I researched on the net and found this page for Roberts and read reviews and thought theyd be great for this job. I called and spoke to a gentleman about the issue, he said he was currently under a house doing work, but call back and leave name, address and phone on his voicemail and he would see me promptly the next evening at 6 at the residence. I Asked an approximate cost so Id be prepared, he said about 125.00 and I said great see you then. I did call back within 5 minutes and left info he had requested. I also explained I would be coming to see what was wrong, check on some other issues and of course be there to provide immediate payment for his services. In addition explained to him that it was a long drive for me to get there and he again confirmed Tuesday, 6pm. On Tuesday I got in my car around 430 and started on my way. At 6:15 when he hadnt arrived, I called the number listed again and got the voicemail I had left my information on the previous day and left a message stating I was in Fuquay waiting for him and id hate to think i had done all this driving and he wasnt going to show, I left my cell phone number and fully expected a call back. One did not come. I sat at my house with my tenants until after 8pm Tuesday evening and heard nothing from Roberts Repair..... I was a little aggravated but something must have come up and so I left and drove all the way back home expecting they would at LEAST call me today, Wednesday to reschedule. I have still not heard back from them and I think thats very unprofessional, rude and shows a lack of basic customer service. It shows me they must be filthy rich beyond all means that they can just shrug off business like that. Apparently Roberts is not as good as the two reviews stated, though he must have done a good job for them. It still doesnt explain why the complete blow off and aggravation caused to me by a no show and over 24 hours with no call back. I would NEVER suggest or use Roberts at any time in the future and I would encourage you to find someone else as well. Good news is after sitting and waiting, I got under the sink to see what was happening and after some tinkering around seemingly have fixed what he could made 125.00 on so it worked out, but doesnt explain his actions to me at all.. Buyer Beware.. in this economy we dont have to put up with businesses like this. There are many others who want to work and wont treat the consumer in this manner. I have to tell you I was very impressed by the service provided by this company. I had some new counter tops installed and needed someone to install my new sink and faucet. I called the number and a friendly voice answered. Loyd told me he could come over the next day at 9:00 a.m. He was there at 9:00 a.m. sharp, right on time. He installed my sink and faucets then even swept up and shook out my rug to boot. I'm writing this review 1 month after the service and the faucet has not a single leak. His service is top rate. His prices are fair. He can carry on a friendly conversation. I recomend this service! more

Lloyd Roberts of Roberts plumbing said he would be by at 2:30 to fix what can only be described as some kind of catastrophic clog that affected every drain in my house simultaneously. At precisely 2:30 the most polite and well-spoken plumber I have ever encountered rang my doorbell. He assessed the situation, explained the problem, dismantled my bathroom and then fixed it. That might be normal stuff, but he noticed a blank space behind the toilet where I was unable to paint and was kind enough to paint it for me before putting the toilet back! He cleaned up inside my house and out and even took an polite interest when I went on and on about my work (which I was doing while he was working). You might say that this kind of good neighbor type behavior is just due to the the small town atmosphere of Fuquay, but when you can relate the time that every drain in your house backed up at once as a positive event, you know you have found good people with whom to do business. I can't recommend this family-owned company enough. Thank you Roberts Plumbing! more
