My experience with Robbie and this company was fantastic. Normally, I don't trust contractors but I have now found a local company I can go to for other fix ups around the house. The good news to is that he is a native Chicagoan with roots in the community. Recently, the springs broke on my garage door. I called four companies to get an estimate. 2 of the four wanted to charge me for the estimate but Robbie did not. The other three estimates I got were significantly higher and not nearly as friendly or easy to deal with. The closest estimate to Robbie's was $50 more expensive. I clearly went with Robbie because of the pricing, the friendliness on the phone and the professional manner of his people. His folks also reinforced my garage door for free by placing a new beam across the top of the door. They did it for free because they had the metal left over from another job and good do it in the hour they had allotted for the spring replacement. I highly recommend this company. Great owner. Great staff and really good and fair pricing. more

I had no idea where to begin looking for someone to fix our total hack job of a garage so I hit Yelp and found these guys. I couldn't believe that they sent someone out an hour after I called and the guy was honest even! He did a few things then said someone had to come back the next day to wrap it up. He told me upfront how much he was going to charge and before he left I offered him half for the work he had done. He said nope, we'll collect tomorrow. Huh?! I was shocked -- no one ever does that! I did have to call a couple of times to find out what was going on, when someone would be out the next day, but someone did show and got the way-out-of-whack thing working exactly the way it should be. Hopefully I'll never need to call these guys again but if I do, I'm calling them. The most reasonable price I've heard of, super fast, definitely the folks to call. If they were able to fix my ramshackle door, they can do anything. more

We hired Robert's Garage Professionals for two separate jobs. First, he replaced a tattered old garage door with a new door. While installing the garage door, they adjusted our garage door opener. Now, the door looks much better (painted by Robert's too), and the opener actually runs smoother and quieter. Second, we hired them to replace a garage door opener of a common garage entry for 5 homes. They installed a light-commercial grade opener. Neither job was easy. It was difficult to find a proper fit to replace our door on job 1, but they really found a reasonably priced, high quality replacement. Job 2 involved mounting the opener outdoors, configuring remote extenders for the large number of users, installing keypads, showing people how to use the new controllers (the old system was more than 20 years old), and lots of unusual aspects to the installation. In both cases, Robbie was always very responsive, professional, and dedicated to getting the job done right. more

Robbie is the superhero of garage door repairs. Really, he's a lifesaver! The garage in our condo building suffered a traumatic and ugly incident. Said incident involved a meeting gone wrong between a valet driver next door, his Jeep, and our garage door. Upon impact, the garage door had flown up in the air, off of the rollers, and was mangled and left dangling. We ended up with an unwelcome Jeep in our garage. This happened late at night, while as condo association President I was already unhappy and inconvenienced by having the flu. The following morning I called Robbie and he was there within a couple of hours. While the garage door was a mess and needed replacement, we needed to figure out what to do about it until the new door came in as we needed a special order door for a size that no one stocks. I took a few hours to get some more estimates, and Robbie had the best price, warranty, and solution for a temporary fix. Yay! He came back later that day to do the tempora more

Robbie was here within the hour, and it turned out that the problem was that the door was frozen to the ground! He got the door open, and didn't charge us. I will be sure to recommend them to our friends and neighbors - not just because the price was so good, but he was very nice and very professional. We'll definitely call again if we have any future issues with our door! more

When my door wouldn't open I called several companies, once I talked to these guys I knew they were going to do a good job, and they quoted me a great price for what I expected to a bit pricey. \r \r Robert arrived on time, was fast and professional. My door works better than new and is covered with a two year warranty.\r \r I would recommend them to others, and plan on using them to install a new door and opener at our rental property.\r -J.L. more

I liked Robbie (the owner) because he seemed to really know what he was talking about, he diagnosed the problem over the phone and arrived less than 2 hrs later. I initially had trouble finding someone local that didn't want to charge an arm and a leg just to show up. When he arrived he had the door fixed up in less than 10 minutes. Robbie explained that he couldn't justify charging more than $20, that's when I thought to myself " this guy knows how to run a business". Since then I've had them install 2 new doors and openers at our new house, and I've also recommended a few of my friends. They also experienced the same low-cost, expert service that I did. more

Had 2 springs replaced, called around, they had a very good price. No high pressure sales, just honest, fair prices. I had a different door than usual, and they needed to make another trip, but no charge until they were completed. They even tried to make my door usable until they could get the parts, and this was on a Sunday! They don't charge extra for weekends, thats a plus.\r Overall a good honest company, I recommend them. more
