We completely agree with Angelias. BUYER BEWARE with this firm. Do yourself a favor and please run AWAY! We have been involved in a grueling, horrible, time wasting, stressful, chapter 13 bankruptcy with this firm. Our case should have been over and closed out already, but due to the mishandling of our case it is still in limbo after 5 years. We have lost all the equity in our home due to the negligence of these people. Yes, due to THEIR negligence & improper handling of our case! We know good & well to have to pay to keep your assets, but what their firm promises in the beginning & what they actually DO after they get your money are 2 entirely different things! Then they make no effort to correct anything or negotiate in their client’s best interest – only their own. Their promises regarding a major issue we had with our mortgage company has NOT been kept and they have misrepresented things over and over again to us. They have not acted with any loyalty or in our best interest at all. They are nothing but a cookie cutter firm that wants the easy way out. If you need a firm that will negotiate for you & be on your side, this firm is NOT it. I recently found out even the trustee's office gets tons of complaints about this firm so how anyone has had a good experience with these people is a surprise. The financial damages they have caused us far exceeds what they have charged in attorney's fees. Shame on you, Higgins and Associates for costing us over 5 years worth of stress, time wasted and thousands of dollars! more

It is sad that people can come on here and tell lies about well respected companies. We have been clients of Robert A. Higgins and Associates for 4 years and know many many people who have also used them. This is a great firm that will bend over backwards to help you. Angela if you lost your assets that was your fault not your attorneys fault. more

First of all, the initial process is pretty easy. They offer a free consult. But DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU. I lost my ONLY asset due to their lack of knowledge. I was misinformed and advised by Mr. Higgins himself of false information. It has affected the rest of my life. more
