I have been a patient of Dr. Turchin's for over 15 years. I recommend him whole-heartedly. He is well-respected, an excellent dentist, and very attentive to his patients' needs and comfort. He brings all possibilities to my attention, and makes sure I feel no pain during any procedures. The staff at Dr. Turchin's office are also excellent. more

Dr. Turchin is the best! I am 49 years old. I have hated the dentist for years! However, the way that Dr. Turchin takes care of my teeth and the comfort that he gives me makes going to see him pleasurable. He makes time for you and works with your schedule. His staff is pleasant and professional. My teeth look great and they feel even better. If you're looking for a dentist, he is the man to see. more

Excellent Dentist 10/25/2011

I have been a patient of Dr. Turchin's for 8 years now. Sitting in his office yesterday I was thinking back on how happy I have been as his patient. Not only is he a great dentist, he is kind and compassionate as well. He has given me great care over the years, and his staff has been wonderful too. Everyone is so professional. I have recommended 2 friends over the years, and they loved Dr. Turchin as well. more

Sitting in Dr.Turchins office today it was brought to my attention that my son had been going to Dr. Turchin for 10 years. I must say it has been a pleasure bringing my 19 year old son to this well organized and clean office.Dr.Turchin is friendly an so is his wonderfull staff I recommend to all. more

What a Mensch! 6/26/2011

I have been seeing Dr. Turchin for many years and his service and staff are top notch. One of the best stories I can share that describes Dr. Turchin to a tee is I was sitting in his office a few years ago and struck up a conversation with one of his patients. She was an elderly woman and she told me how she had no family in the area and that every Thanksgiving Dr. Turchin comes and picks her up(and a few other elderly patients of his) and takes them to his house for the holiday dinner! Dr. Turchin is a kind, caring dentist and I recommend him to everyone I know. more

Master of Dentistry 6/23/2011

I recently brought my daughter in to see Dr Turchin after removal of her braces. She had a flaw with one tooth not cooperating with the rest of her beautiful straight smile and was embarrased to show off her new teeth to her friends. Dr Turchin chiseled the tooth to perfection and she was one happy , BIG smile when we left his office!!Dr Turchin can look at a smile and with his expertise and creativity mold it to perfection...whether it be a large to flaw or a more simpler one, he truly knows how to remedy any imperfections!!!Thanks Dr Bob more

Finally I can go to the Dentist without being nervous!!! 6/22/2011

At 50 years old, I have always been a wreck before I had to go the dentist. Dr. Turchin came highly recommended by a friend and I could not have had a better experience. The office staff was extremely friendly and could accommodate my busy schedule. Most importantly, Dr. Turchin made me feel relaxed in a dentist chair for the first time in my life. Upon check out, the staff, once again, was efficient and took care of all the necessary paper work, including all insurance matters. more

Beware! 6/4/2011

This dentist will make you feel like he is your best friend and is honestly concerned about your well-being. At the same time he is doing this he is stealing from you in the form of false copays, charging you with the amount your dental insurance deems above the usual and customary fee even though he is required by law to accept if he is a participator, files false claims with dental insurance companies and more. more

rip off 12/13/2009

came in for a cap and my inusrance company covers 80percent of the crown so i only had to pay 20 percent of the balance.. the assitant talked to me about a high gold crwon that would cost me extra 365 out of pocket who wouldnt want anything but the finest in their mouth ... but i felt unsure signing the form so i called around to other dentist who told me all crowns all high noble metals or captek something of that nature so he ripped me offf for 365 when all caps are high noble metal i even called some dental labs in the city to confirm the information people check with insurance companies before you pay up .... also some of these people seems like his family on this page or friends Cons: had me sign a consent form for a cap so he could pocket 365 more

CHANGE OF ADDRESS 3/2/2009

I agree with all sentiments regarding this dentist. The office is very cozy and the staff are all welcoming. Dr. Turchin is also very comforting and takes the time to explain everything in an attempt to put the patient at ease. Pros: easy to reach by public transportation, comfy office, friendly staff Cons: Parking not easy more

I have been under Dr. Turchin's care steadily for the past two years. I am so happy I found him. He basically saved me. I had issues that I wasn't even aware of. After 23 years, I finally changed dentists and was referred to Dr. Turchin. He is extremely thorough and gives highly personalized attention. His manner, at all times, is calming and reassuring and positive. His staff is wonderful, friendly and very supportive. Even though I had pretty involved work to be done, for the first time in my life, I looked forward to going to the dentist. I knew I was getting the best care possible and the experience would always be pleasant. On my first visit with Dr. Turchin, I realized what I had been missing all those years-before I was referred to him. I would recommend him to anyone. He's the best! Great Experience 12/17/2008

Bob Turchin has been my dentist for more years than I can remember and I would recommend him without reservation. Recently I have had some rather involved restorative work done and it looks and feels great. What I have always been most impressed with is how personal he takes his work. On the rare occasion that I have had pain or a concern, be it at night, weekends,whenever..I call and moments later he calls back and you can hear the concern in his voice. That's a rare find these days. My only complaint is his bad jokes...sometimes I think the novacaine is for that rather than the drilling! LOL more

Initially, Dr. Turchin corrected poor work done by other dentists and last 20+ years, he has taken care of me and my teeth. I trust him 100% as a professional and as a person. He has even called to see how I was doing after more complicated procedures. more

Not recommended 3/25/2008

Horrible experience. I went in for a simple bonding procedure and left in pain hours later with bloody gums and teeth that were disfigured. The bonding material deteriorated in just a few days and when I called my insurance company to complain I found out that Dr. Turchin had billed them for cavities he claimed he filled but never did. I ended up having to pay another dentist to fix my teeth. more

Highly Recommended 12/27/2005

Great experience from the moment I called. Everybody was very friendly and happy, which can be hard to find in Philly. Dr. Turchin is a great guy and explains everything he does so as not to leave the patient in the dark. He was able to remove my wisdom tooth it in one piece, even though it had a curved root.
