today i was desperate. new years eve is tomorrow and my hair was a wreck. thankfully the committed staff at robert gold salon sqeezed me in and treated me like GOLD! i was greeted warmly and received a wonderful head massage with my wash. I proceeded to get one of the best hair cuts I've ever had and it is styled really cute. I have gotten so many compliments already. Can't wait for tomorrow night! more

I just moved here and was in search of a new salon. After three bad experiences I thought I was going to have to go downtown, but was referred to Robert Gold Salon and Spa. I was so happy and my hair was AWESOME!! I came in a brunette and left a honey blonde. My haircut was perfect and I can actually make it look nice when I go home too. The receptionist helped get me in with my limited schedule and everyone was really nice. So excited I found this place and I can't wait to get a facial there. more

I'm giving this place a 3 for hair coloring, as the hair coloring I've gotten has been very uneven. The first time I went, about two years ago, I got one of the best coloring jobs I've ever had. I had hair that was looking brassy and the woman who did the coloring transformed it. But the second time I went I used a different colorist (the 1st one wasn't available), and the results were so bad that I contemplated going back to have her redo it. I didn't, because I feared that it would do further damage to my hair. The third time, I asked for the original colorist I'd had the first visit to do the coloring and the results were not that great. She seemed distracted and inattentive. I'd told her about needing my gray roots covered and needing correctives for the brassy ends, but all she did was try to cover the gray...ignoring my ends request until I realized this well into the session and reminded her that I did not want to go out with three-toned hair. I got the sense that she was overbooked and not wanting to bother spending too much time on anyone. Not a good way to run a place. This place was convenient, but with these results I don't want to risk another visit....especially at their high-end prices....so I am now shopping for a new colorist and new salon. more

I don't go to spa's often so i cannot really tell how they compare to others in the area - all I cal tell you is that this place is great ! from the way the people here handle their business and clients to the top notch high quality products they use and endorse this place cannot be beat imo. I got two friends treats to come to Robert Gold and I have a feeling they will love me forever. more

The salon is truly a treat each and every time you visit. whether i am popping in for a petticure or a haircut or coloring, i emerge so happy, so rejuvenated and so good. every single person who works there is lovely and warm and so are all the clients that you meet. they only use top of the line beautiful products on you while getting services and i love stocking up on the same products to bring home with me. every single person that i have recommended this salon to has loved it as much as i have!!! I am a very busy man and need a good haircut at a reasonable price where I can count on the fact that I don't have to waste time waiting. Robert has been doing my hair for awhile now and does a great job. The salon is always calm and relaxing. The shampoo girl is also great and gives a great head massage. The winning and charming personalities of all the employees at Robert Gold is what creates customer loyalty at the salon. As soon as I started going there the stylists made it a personal effort to get to know me on a personal level and become a friend instead of just their client. I noticed the same for all the cleints each time I am in the salon (which is often). I not only look forward to looking great when I come out of the salon but also catching up with old friends whether it is the stylists or other clients I have met in the salon. The employees are also experts in what they do, which creates a comforting atmosphere knowning you are in good hands. I had my hair cut by Janet, she is absolutely amazing, I always feel confident with her advise and she always comes through in making me feel fabulous when I leave the salon. Melisssa is the main colorist, and she really knows what is right for her clients, she takes her time and never rushes her clients. This salon actually uses the highest quality product when they shampoo your hair, never any generic products are used. The pride themselves on carrying all the newest and latest products to make your hair the best it can be. It seems to me they spend a lot of time researching what is best for their clients. Then i got my hair cut with Janet. I told her i needed something new and she knew exactly what to do. She gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. A friend of mine referred me to Melissa and I came in for a consultation. She listened to my concerns and was very Knowledgeable. My hair has never looked this good. I highly recommend the salon. PROFESSIONAL, CARING AND CLEAN Going to the spa feels like an oasis. You are escorted to the back of the salon with it's subdued lighting and music. I felt pampered and not rushed from the moment I walked into the salon. I had a facial, had my eyebrows shaped and the unwanted hair removed with a string. It proved to be better than waxing. The colorist, shampoo person and stylist all did an amazing job and I walked out of the salon feeling rejuvenated and looked great. As a client it is important for me that the colorist and stylist listen to what I want my hair to look like but I also valued their comments. Working together proved to achieve the results I had hoped for. The owner obviously has taken comments from clients and keeps improving on an aready great salon. When I walk in to Robert Gold Salon, I am greeted by a warm hello and beautiful, soothing decor. I am immediately transformed from the chaos of my day by the friendly staff and tranquil surroundings. I have tried many services and they have all been wonderful. I have had hair cut and color, nails, massage and hair removal and have been very pleased with the work and the compliments I get when I am through.
