Roasters Coffee House

Roasters Coffee House is a rare and uniquely charmimg establishment. Not only do they serve the freshest coffee from all over the world (they roast their own beans), they employ the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff you'll find anywhere. I've been a regular patron since the day they opened (roughly 10 years), and I can't remember EVER having a bad cup of coffee. I'm here so often, I'm the Mayor of Roasters Coffee House on foursquare. So take it from the mayor...this is the place you want to visit if you're looking for a great cup of coffee and welcoming atmosphere. Recommendation: Try a cup of Costa Rica Hacienda La Minita. It will not disappoint. They also have excellent specialty drinks. If you like brewing your own coffee at home, try some of their's - they'll grind it to your secifications, or take it whole bean and grind yourself. Enjoy! more

Any time I'm in the Cedar Rapids area I make sure to stop at Roasters for a fantastic cup of coffee and great conversation. The coffee is the best around. I usually stick to a simple cup of brewed coffee (love La Minita and El Salvador varieties), but the specialty drinks are tasty too. I always stock up on beans when I'm in town because I live in a different city, but even if I run out they can ship to me! Whether I know a single soul in the shop when I visit, it always feels like I'm part of the Roasters family and I'm bound to get wrapped up in an enjoyable conversation with another patron. Using only the finest specialty grade coffee beans available, the artisan small batch in house roasting ensures the freshest cup of coffee you've ever had. Every day a variety of brews are available and beans may be purchased, ground or whole bean, for home brewing. Staff is friendly and makes an effort to create a casual, relaxed atmosphere. In addition to coffee and tea, a variety of fresh baked pastries is available. more
