Six-Month Eye Wellness Check 7/15/2011

Every six months I meet with Dr. Reckell to check progression of cataracts and possible macular degeneration. I was seen on-time, examined thoroughly, and left with current status of my eyes. A very pleasant experience. more

New Patient Checkup 6/16/2011

I liked that the doctors were very thorough. They asked me if I wanted retinal pictures done. Although it cost $40, I am still glad I did it, because a relative had a detached retina. My last eye doctor neevr even talked about retinal pictures. What I didn't like was the "contact lens fitting" fee. Apparently this is required in Arizona, but nonetheless it was expensive. I had to pay $79 and I already knew what type of contacts I needed. more

Long Wait Time 6/7/2011

I waited about 20-30 minutes to first be seen to run the initial eye tests. And then I waited another 20 minutes before the optometrist could see me. Other than the long wait times, the staff was friendly. more

Pain relief at last! 6/1/2011

Finally a doctor (Dr. Reckell) who knows all about keratoconus. I lived in pain for years since most doctors of optometry seem to know little to nothing about this degeneration of the cornea. Competent staff assisted Dr. Reckell in getting me fitted for lenses and then filed the claim to my insurance company for what it was - a medical condition necessitating care - and got most of it paid. Thanks to Riviera! more
