Yes, it is that good. The decor is hideous... but the food and service is so great! We love to go here as a family or with friends. We've gone here just for a date ... but also for parties. Everything is delicious. Our favorite? The burritos! The Salsas! The margaritas! ... well, I guess just about everything! :) more

Great margueritas! Friendly staff! Small place. We just moved to Redondo Bch and this place was recommended by a friend. It was January when we first dined there so we only had to wait 10 min for a table. I had the fish tacos (both the grilled and batter-fried); they were both very good. Although we were able to get a parking place in front, this parking lot was full. There is more parking in the back. We decided since we live here, we'd make this place a regular haunt of ours. We're a little picky about our margueritas, and they do 'em well here. Pros: prompt, friendly, helpful staff Cons: more parking in front would help more

Best tacos, margaritas, food 8/21/2006

Great Margaritas, Great food, Reasonable prices. Small but worth the wait. Park in the back lot, not much parking in front. We were in Redondo Beach on vacation, friends recommended the Riviera to us. It was our favorite place. We came back a second time! Too bad they don't ship to Connecticut. Next time we are in town we will be back! Pros: Margaritas, Food, Service Cons: Parking, park in back lot. more

first off---great margaritas! i ordered the nachos to start--they do something to their beans that make them taste great. and they make their own chips so theyre not stale or soggy like some places that serve nachos. i also get the lobster quesadillas--delicious! the atmosphere is fun and bright, perfect for a summer day. I grew up here and just started going back again recently. Pros: food, margaritas, atmosphere Cons: parking (meters, or you could always park at the market and walk...) more

Best Mexican in the south bay 1/14/2006

Great Mexican place! It's not a huge place so be ready to wait if it's a popular time. The food is well worth it though. They do takeout now (Jan 2006) and parking is limited, but don't forget to check out the parking lot behind the building. more

they have the best fresh fish tacos in la! thresher shark, sea bass, etc. (seasonal). casual, relaxing environment. the one downside is that they do NOT offer take-out after 4pm. [which is total bs when it's not crowded and they still will not let you order take out] Pros: Great food!, Good value Cons: No takeouts after 4p, parking is limited more

Riviera Mexican Thrill 8/20/2002

This is the best Mexican food in the south bay, bar none! I have been going to the Riviera for five years now, and I have never been less than thrilled with my exoerience. Everything is fresh, healthy, aand absolutely delicious! The chef's specials are always amazing, but the fish tacos are always a reliable favorite. Also, you cant beat the beachy, baja ambience of this family run jewel in Redondo Beach. The owners are always there to put a smile on your facr with their sincere friendliness. They basically make the Riviera a place that you want to come back to again and again. The service, along with the ambience, food, and amazing margaritas make the Riviera Mexican stand out among L. A'a ubiquitous Mexican restaurants. Pros: superb food, inexpensive, friendly service more
