Riverwood Golf & Athletic Club

This course would be one of the best tracks in Johnston county if they had a clue on how to run it!! The greens are burnt out and have huge spots of dirt showing through. The staff sits in the clubhouse and tries to monitor it from there. If you get behind a slow group you are stuck!! (No ranger to keep them moving) Very arrogant when it comes to suggestions to improve the course and the food is lousy, processed wrapped sandwiches!! No beverage person on the course and the water buckets have a slimy growth on the spickets!! (wouldn't give it to a dog to drink!!) Such a shame because it would be an awesome course if managed by some one with experience or a clue!!!! Save your money or go somewhere that cares to give you your moneys worth and a pleasant time!! more

Worst golf course around!!!? The management thinks it is your "privelage" to play this course. The greens are the worst in the county mostly burned out no grass just dirt!! They have no management skills to run this course. They try to be a ranger by sitting in the clubhouse on their butts. Pace of play is so slow (because no one is monitoring) once you get behind a 4 some you are stuck. Club house is terrible. No good food processed sandwiches, no beverage person on course, water buckets have algee growing on the spicketts!!! The staff are the most arrogant I have ever come across and have no clue!!! It is too bad because the layout would be great if run by some one who had a clue!! Save your money and go somewhere else that cares about customer service and to give you your moneys worth. Pine Hollow and the Neuse are right around the corner and blow this GOAT TRACK away!!!!! more
