Riverview Restaurant

We called the River View Restaurant and asked if their delivery service goes to my area. I was originally told that it was up to the drivers, was put on hold, finally spoke to a driver who told me that he was willing to deliver to me. I got put on hold again so I could order, waited a LONG time for them to pick back up, and when they finally took me off hold the man I spoke to was surly and rude and told me that the restaurant did not deliver to my town. We're only 2 miles away. I explained that I had talked to the driver and that he was willing to deliver. This is when the order taker told me that what the driver said doesn't matter and that they don't deliver to my town and then he HUNG UP ON ME. I will NEVER go to their restaurant and I will tell all my friends about the rude treatment I received. more

I would love to give Riverview a higher rating because the food there is excellent, however, the service is less than to be desired. They have a large variety of appetizers and we have been known to just order a variety of those for our meal. They give you a basket of "beer nuggets" which is fried pizza dough balls that you dip in pizza sauce; very yummy. Their main menu is as expansive as their appetizers and it is usually fairly difficult to decide what to eat. If the food wasn't so good, we would not have returned after our first visit as the service is so incredibly slow that you need to allow at least an hour for dinner. In the multiple times we have been there, I don't think we have ever received fast service except the one time we brought our small child with us. To keep her happy, they brought raw pizza dough for her to play with and were attentive to our needs. Go for the great food, but be forewarned you may be there longer than you would like. more
