Riverview Caterers

I am planning a spring '13 wedding and Riverview made it on the short list of venues. Riverview has many pluses, great location/view, good value and a nicely maintained property. I recommend working directly with Jason, who is knowledgable, accomodating and very down to earth (I found Natalie, on the other hand, to be a bit dismissive and abrupt). My fiancee and I did a tasting prior to making our final decision. The food was good - not amazing - but very good. It was your standard catering hall fare. We ultimately did not choose the Riverview because we wanted a nicer outdoor area for the ceremony as well as more elegant catering options. However, I would absolutely recommend working with the Riverview - I do believe that one could have a very nice wedding here. more

Had 2 parties at the Riverview within the last year, one was a baby shower and the other a 1st birthday party. Have to admit we were a bit nervous about having our parties there after reading some reviews but everything turned out great! The staff was wonderful. The baby shower was a brunch and everyone said the breakfast foods were yummy. The first birthday was a buffet lunch and all the food was good, with the exception of the calamari (which was a bit too fishy for my liking). You could not beat the views or the prices. Just booked another party there and cannot wait! more

Very pretty location. However the food is horrible. The sampling of the cocktail hour food was gross to put it mildly. The chicken was rubber and the pasta prima vera?? was falling apart and floating in something like broth. Very unfortunate considering the venue is really nice. Pros: Nice Venue Cons: Food more
