Boycott Riverton Liquor! They charged my friend for a broken bottle of wine which was leaned up against the bottle she took out of the refrigerated area. So that bottle fell. She told them what happened and she still bought the bottle there that she wanted. Then they tacked on the charge of the broken bottle and didn't want to give her a receipt because they didn't want her to know. And she didn't think to check the total before she accepted the amount.
Anyway, we used to go there all the time, but now of course we will never go there again and our friends who frequent will also never go. I went back in and told them they should not have charged that, especially when it wasn't her fault, and the old man just said ""NO!"" I said, ""You just lost all our business"" and he said, ""that's fine, thank you."" So the morons are losing a lot more than just our business. There are a bunch of other stores within walking distance to go to.
Their loss. When something breaks in a grocery store they don't make you buy it. Why should they? And to charge full retail is doubly uncool.
More businesses need to be aware of the power of the boycott, especially when so many are doomed these days already
