I received a call from Riverside Painting, they claimed that they were painting a couple of houses in the neighborhood and wanted to see if I had a need for their services. We made an appointment for 5:00 on Friday. The person didn't show up until 6:30. When he arrived, he informed me that he decided to stop and get something to eat. I don't think he remembered that when he called earlier to inform me that he was running late, he used the excuse of ""getting caught in the horrible traffic."" He took notes on the painting projects as well as a sheet rock/paint project. He informed me that he would email me the estimate that night. I asked him to include Riverside's insurance information as well as some references. It has been two weeks and I still haven't received an estimate. He had no business cards, no company forms. He made notes on a used piece of paper - very unprofessional. There a couple of things to think about.....(1) they called me for business, (2) I arranged my Friday evening for an estimate, (3) is this a company I want to deal with when there is no follow up, (4) why did I let him in my house.
Cons: How do I know...No follow up
