Poor Service and Poor Food Prep 1/27/2012

My wife and I came to the restaurant for the first time; we were not recognizable as regular customers. The restaurant was mostly empty. I ordered food; my item arrived with too much salt. We told this to our waitress and she asked if we wanted anything else. She did not offer to remake the item. She did not apologize. She took my plate back to the kitchen. I expected the chef to come out and apologize. The chef did not come out. I have no idea if all their food is heavily salted. Maybe it is. Maybe that contributes to the obesity in the area. We won't be back, and we will make sure our friends do not go to the restaurant. more

CHANGEABLE RIVERFRONT SUPRISE 12/30/2009

I wish I could give a five star to a local business, but after several not great times there I cant do it. The brunch is one of the worst ever. When the wing special was on I got wings so overcooked that it literaly could give you splinters like it was wood. The prime rib at the brunch is so tough its like a very cheap cut of steak. It is a shame since it is a great environment , and the pizza is incredible, and the tuna lightly braised is fantastic. You have to have consistency on the food preperation. The first time I and several friends went for wing night it was the best. Then the next time it is the worst. Maybe the owner needs to check on the quality more often. more

Great Sunday Brunch!! 12/9/2009

On Nov. 29th, 2009, went to try the Sunday Brunch. Was very good. They had an omelet table, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, potato wedges, fruit salad, pancakes, tossed salad, pasta, baked chicked......and more. For $10.00, can't beat it. Does not include beverages, but that is ok. Everything I tried was very good. Highly recommend it. more

Great restaurant in Niles. Menu was greatly improved over previous cafe. And the food was delicious. Very pleasant atmosphere was great entertainment. Overal, a great experience at a very good price. more

Great cafe! 3/23/2006

This is a great place for a quick bite to eat. It has a great atmosphere. The selection of food is really good, mostly soups, salads and sandwichs, but with lots of variety also. They definitely offs lots of options so everyone can find something that they like. Prices are fair and the serivce was good too. I'd definitely recommend this place as a great place for a lunch or a light dinner. more

A newer resturant to Niles, Riverfront Cafe offers a big change to this small town. Not only a resturant but also a gift shop. There menu is pretty wide with the usual cafe item such as salad, soups, appetizers, and sandwiches. But they put a spin on things and spice all the old boring stuff. They also have many coffees and pasteries to choose from. They have recently added a wine/bar lists that offers a big selection of specality martinis. There prices may be a little on the higher side comparing to some local places but it is a nice treat. more
