I really don't like outdoor amphitheatres, so it's no surprise that I don't like Riverbend. It seats a ton of people. Mostly on the lawn. Because it is on the river it floods whenver the river floods. The bugs are bad from being so close to the river. I think the acoustics are awful. Leaving in your car is a nightmare after the show you are seeing. My least favorite venue in Cincinnati. more

Big Live Concerts 8/19/2005

This is the place to see Dave Matthews in Cincinnati. He, and many other like John Mayer and the like, only play this huge venue…and there’s a reason….it fits so many people. The seating is very accommodating. There’s hundreds of seats in the pavilion. And then there’s the lawn, which can hold thousands of people. Just remember to bring your lawn chairs and blankets if you plan to sit in the lawn. There are also jumbo-trons for the lawn. The refreshments are extremely expensive (like most venues). more

Great variety, wonderful outdoor setting 7/28/2005

Riverbend is nestled right on the Ohio River, just outside of Cincinnati. The venue features both traditional, covered seats and lawn seats. Riverbend also attracts just a ton of artists to the area, from rock, pop, jazz, to symphanies. The lawn seating allow families to bring children so that they can enjoy concerts with their parents. It is a great, scenic place to enjoy a show. It can get a little warm in the heat of the summer, and due to the lacation by the river be sure to use bugspray before going. more
