I looked all over the country on the internet searching for a kimber eclipse custom II in 10mm, no one had it in stock. On a whim I called rivercity gun exchange and they had it, Kelley was very helpful and professional when helping me. I will definetly be back. great spot! 3/3/2011

Just purchased a Springfield XD .45ACP, been to many shops in the area and I get nothing but BS! But this place is awesome, knowledgeable and friendly staff willing to answer any question u have, really good prices, best I've seen at least! Highly recommend this place. more

Great Gun Store 12/29/2010

As everyone mentions, the store is busy, but they have the employees to manage it well. They have all sorts of guns and are knowledgeable about them. Not only that, but they are friendly and will work with you. I'm buying a Robinson XCR and will from them. If you are inquiring about guns or ready to make a purchase, look into River City Gun Exchange. more

No problems here... Fair Service.. Got what I needed. 6/2/2009

I just purchased a used Springfield Armory XD in .45 Auto. The shop was pretty busy but they had plenty of staff on hand and I did not have to wait long for service. Two different staff members demoed and explained and let me examine several firearms before I made my decision. They didnt have brown nose customer service, but the service was sufficient. I am happy with my purchase and the service I received. Especially the staff dismantling and demoing the weapons for me. I'll definitely shop here again. more

Don really went out of his way to ship a hard-to-find firearm to me. This is a really busy shop -- probably because they seem to really know their stuff and are good to do business with. more

OUTSTANDING 4/13/2009

Don, Dave and Paul are very intelligent. They love what they do and they have been doing it a long time. I bought a gun from them, back around 1998. Same crue. I think, RCGE will be the last gun shop in CA to close. They have proven to be trustworthy men. The only other gun shop of this caliber was Defence Weapon Specialist, operated by Monty Arpad, closed long ago. All these guys want to is give away knowledge. They must eat so they sell guns there too. more

New To Gun World 1/9/2009

I'm a 54 yr old Grandma and am new to the gun world.I took a 10 hr NRA basic pistol class and by no means have the info to make the right choice for me.I went to River city and was helped by the aka ""mean old white guy"". He was very patient with my stupid questions and showed me at least 10 different hand guns.The store had about 25 people in it and he spent lots of time with me. He also said he wanted me to go to the Gun Room and rent before I make my choice. I was trained on a 9mm and was looking at 40sw ,45 sw. I will most defiantly buy from this store. My favorite gunshop 6/5/2008

River City Gun Exchange is a great place to shop for a gun and to get good advice too. It would be even better if it wasn't for the ridiculous CA laws. Don, Dave, Paul and the others are helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable and they offer layaway. I've spent several thousand dollars there on new and used items. more

The guys here are very knowledgable but seriously lack customer service skills. I have dealt with them for years now.\r Their prices are above average. The last two guns I have found for about 15% less elsewhere and after telling them, they simply refused to lower and match the price two times now. My suggestion....go there for advice only and don't expect to be treated nicely. Go to other chain store sto make the purchase as you will save a lot.. more

Best Service 2/14/2008

All I have to say is that I bought Over 10k worth of firearms and parts from this place, I bought my 1st gun when I turned 21, and built my collection thru them, they have been the best to me, always taking care of me when I go there, even though Im in the Bay Area now, I still travel there to get my guns! And will continue buying from them.! Great Job, RCGE more

I found this place to be great for service and knowledge. No hassle form the employees and they were very friendly unlike other places I have gone to in sac area. Both I am a family member have purchased from here and have had a great experience. more
