River City Grille

This is the second time we went to this restaurant this month. Both times I had ordered a salad. The first time it took almost an hour to get our food. We thought we would give it another chance. Tonight, we both ordered a salad. Then we watched as a group of 7 get seated next to the 2 of us. And they got their drinks. Then they got a basket of dinner rolls. Then they got their appetizers. Then they got their dinner salads. At this point we finally got a basket of dinner rolls. 10 -15 minutes later we got our salads. In short - the large group who arrived after we placed our order had already finished their appetizer and dinner salads when we finally got our meal - which was only salads. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how quickly you get your food, no matter what time of day you go or how many people are in your party. Pros: nice deck Cons: takes forever more

Great Food The fried calamari is awesome! Steaks are melt in your mouth. Nice views of the lake from the deck. Service was good they usually have good live music on the deck. I Highly recommend! Pros: Great Food! Seated fast, good drinks! Cons: nothing! more

I took a group of 8 people on sunday and got seated fairly quickly. When the salads came out the lettuce was brown and wilted and the chopped up tomatoes were spoiled, ranch dressing poured like water! My husband ordered the ribs, they were terrible, Tasted and looked like they had been boiled and then sause poured over them. The sauce was not even cooked on, just poured over,. I had the catfish, asparagus were over cooked and very limp, 3 small strips of catfish, tasteless coldslaw. the special grilled chicken was in the same ranking and so were the 2 cheeseburgers that were ordered. Very, very dissappointed and will not go back. You probably wonder why I did not bring this up to mgt at the time. I didn't because since it was a birthday celebration I didn't want to cause a ruckus since it was my birthday and didn;t want to ruin everyones time. Howe this place ever got a 7.0 is a mystery to me!!! Pros: on the water Cons: terrible food more
