After shopping at Rite Aid for a couple of years, I decided to try their pharmacy. After waiting in line for more than 15minutes, the pharmacist told the assistant to close down after waiting on the lady in front of me. Of course, that was unacceptable and after I insisted on speaking with him, he would not speak to me. He went to the back of the pharmacy. The pharmacist instructed his assistant to wait on me. He spoke with rudeness, annoyance and impatience. she announced that she could not input my insurance information because the computer was shut down. She appeared uncomfortable, but she asked me to come back tomorrow. Another customer and I were stunned. The other customer said she was staying until I was waited on. I reassured her I could resolve the situation. For all of these reasons, I no longer use their pharmacy. I had my prescription transferred to another pharmacy. The same pharmacist resisted transferring my prescription to the new pharmacy. I telephoned him to ask if he intended to comply with my request to transfer the prescription, but he denied receiving the call from the other pharmacist. He sent the required information later. I previously had pleasant experiences with Rite Aid other than that one apparently angry pharmacist.
