Love Ritas 5/26/2006

They have yummy water ice, custard and pretzles! I love my water ice and they just put the right amount of sugar and fruit flavor in them! However what i like the best is the gelati (water ice and custard in the middle)! Ritas also has mistos which is the custard and water ice blended together. I love the fact that they are always coming out with new flavors papaya was yummy! I wish that they could offer all the flavor that they make each day but that waould be a daunting task! And also they should accept credit or debit cards because not everyone has cash on hand! more

Holy freakin monkeys, if you haven't eaten at Rita's Water Ice don't ever talk to me. CHERRY folks, and green apple too. It's so much better than icecream, milkshakes and banana sundays. I could eat a gallon every day in the summer time. You won't try a flavor that isn't amazing, and you can get a kids cup for a dollar. A buck! No excuses not to eat there everyday... Inf fact forget about all other kinds of food. Just eat Rita's. more

A cool, sweet treat. 2/5/2006

The South Philly Rita's Water Ice is probably my favorite place to get a cold treat during the summer. The well-managed staff is quick and efficient as well as friendly. The location isn't the best, but really, where in South Philly is? Make sure you park right in front of the window, and have someone there to keep the engine running. It's worth a potential mugging. more
