I just arrived home from my first visit with Rita Ranch Dentistry. I was skeptical of the 39.00 x-ray and cleaning deal, but I have never had any problems with my teeth and jumped at the chance to save some money on a basic cleaning. The first woman I saw was very nice. She took a ton of x-rays and even after taking me to a room took me back for more x-rays. I don't know if this amount of x-rays is necessary. I then waited about 20-30 minutes for the hygienist to come and check my teeth. She right away went into a diagnosis of a little gum disease and she went on with a long list of things she recommended. I told her I would need to budget for more work than just a cleaning today. She left and I waited. The dentist came in and briefly confirmed what she said. Then I waited more. Over an hour from when I came in to the office, someone came into discuss finances. I let her know that I was not able to consider over 500.00 worth of work today and would have to think about it. At this point, the attitudes changed and the original hygienist came in and gave me my cleaning. This was less than 10 minutes. She only scraped my front bottom teeth and then barely went over my teeth with the polish. I understood that if I was not able to do everything they recommended today, then they would not be giving me quality service. I feel like I was ripped off. I didn't get my teeth cleaned and I paid 39.00 for x-rays I didn't need. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
