Rita B Salon

I got a coupon for Rita B's. I went and saw Matt. BEST HAIRCUT EVER! He also colored and highlighted my hair beautifully. As a student i don't have a lot of spare cash so, after seeing Matt twice, I tried a coupon for another salon. BIG mistake! Rita B's and Matt are worth the money. From now on I won't go anywhere else! more

Here is what happened....I normally pay $18 - $22 for a haricut. I got a coupon for Rita B for a $15 style and haircut. They said its normally $45. ITS WORTH $10. \r \r My hair has large curles. I asked if she could tighten them. She said maybe with product, like gel. Weird that she can't do that style. Its doesn't seem complex. \r \r I told her 3 times if she cut it too short or did more than a trim it would not curl at all. SHE CUT IT VERY SHORT. There is ZERO curl. \r \r In addition my appointment was for noon. While driving there the ""stylist"" called and said she was 15 mins behind schedule. I was on my way so I figured I would wait there. I waited for 50 minutes. She was 50 minutes behind schedule. \r \r Then could not style it....then did EXACTLY what I told her NOT to do. THAT'S NOT A $45 HAIR CUT. \r \r When I get $18 haricuts they are better. \r \r This is a joke. They get people without skill and just charge a high amount.\r \r And by the way....at the Wazee location where I went, there is no waiting room or front area. There is one chair and one short bench right next to a person getting her hair cut. For 50 minutes I listened to a bitter ""stylist"" complain about her life and how hard it is to get on a bus with 3 kids.\r \r She was colorign someone's hair and when there was a few mintues to let it set she went outside and smoked. So if you don't want a ""stylist"" who smells like smoke working on you...don't go here. \r \r If you actually want your hair styled....don't go here.\r \r If you say you don't want mroe than a trim and want your hair to stay curley....and further explain that cutting too much will make it wavey.....and don't want to get so much cut off that its not even wavey.....just straight.....DON'T go here.\r \r A waste and a joke and I am angry I have this haircut for the next several weeks.\r \r What a scam!\r \r \r \r more

Chad is a gifted stylist who really listens to my concerns and wants for my hair! I started going to him a few months before my wedding last year. My hair had been fried and over layered by another salon. He immediately knew what they had been doing wrong. He put extensions in my thin hair to give it more fullness and to grow out the layers. The extensions looked so natural, everyone was always shocked to hear I had them. He did my hair for my wedding and it looked fabulous! His wife, Marietta, did my grandmother's hair and it also looked amazing! We kept extensions in my hair over the next year while my damaged layers grew out. I can honestly say now that my hair has never looked and felt so healthy! I always get a lot of compliments on my highlights. i have been seeing gina at rita's for about a year now and i ALWAYS leave the salon a happy HAPPY LADY! she always listens to what i want and need from my hair, and never fails to take my breath away with the finished work of art! i get so many compliments and i have refered all of my friends and co workers to her, so going in is usally a fun reunion for us all! I have trusted her to take me from red, to brown, to blonde, and from short to long to short again, it is always the perfect shade and cut! ..the entire staff at rita's is friendly and caring and i never get ignored, i feel like such a vip!! Pros: friendly staff, great service, amazing styles! more

Keva did an excellent job. My color and highlights are beautiful,full of body,bouncy and glossy for weeks. I did not want to shampoo it. My husband loved it and I received several compliments from my friends. Already pre-scheduled my next visit. Pros: Good color and blowdry more
