Ripples is a local ""greasy spoon"" restaurant. They have inexpensive, decent food. I have been a long time (7+ years) customer, especially preferring to go there for their breakfast fare. This morning I had an experience that will prevent me from ever returning. I had to meet a business colleague for a breakfast meeting and suggest going to Ripples. After spending several hours at the table, my colleague left a 50% tip to compensate the waitress for her time. Upon leaving the restaurant we were accosted by the waitress for not compensating her for taking her table. She was incredibly loud and rude, and explained that she felt a 200% tip was more appropriate in this situation. After leaving the restaurant, I decided to go back and speak to the manager as I felt this was incredibly inappropriate. Turns out this waitress claims she in the manager and owner of the restaurant and that she would prefer we take our business elsewhere. I tried to explain to her that I, and my extended family had been coming to Ripples for years, and that I was surprised at this type of service. She told me to take my business elsewhere in the future. I most certainly will.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Service is unbelievably bad
