I used to see Dr. Ellis for ""med management"" appointments. These appointments lasted only about 10 minutes each, yet Dr. Ellis was always rushed and did not seem to appreciate questions, or specific details about changes in my condition. He had also put me on the LEGAL MAXIMUM dosage of one pill, in addition to another ""as needed."" I had already decided to go elsewhere as soon as I could decide on where.\r
Then one day, his office was running very late. So he ACTUALLY, LITERALLY left the room while I was still speaking. He poked his head back in to mumble something about sorry and late. That's ridiculous -- particularly in psychiatry.
Pros: Initial visit seemed good, comfortable waiting room,
Cons: overmedicates, doesn't listen, dismissive attitude
