Smaller and more intimate than the better known chain churrascarias in the major metropolitan areas (Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, etc.), Rio Churrascarias dining experience compares very favorably. A dozen selections of beef, pork, lamb, chicken (including chicken hearts) are grilled on large, sword-like skewers and are sliced to order at your table. The $24.95 prix fixe dinner includes a sumptuous salad bar (including asparagus, shrimp salad, mussels and traditional hearts of palm), side dishes of yellow rice, black beans & mashed potatoes, and cinnamon pineapple. Various gooey delights are available for dessert, but after such a carnivorous feast who has room? Try a caipirinha (the national drink of Brazil) with your meal - it's sort of like a margarita without the salt and with a bit more kick. Service is a bit more relaxed than at the larger chains but is more attentive.
