This is my favorite Cuban restaurant in Las Vegas. I've been to all the others, especially the more commercial ones like Florida Cafe and Havana Grill, and while they are much better in terms of atmosphere and service, their food is also commercialized, which defeats the purpose of eating at a Cuban restaurant. This place is a small, hole-in-the-wall, where ordering in Spanish is the norm and you'll find more Cubans eating here than anywhere else. Having been raised on Cuban food made by my grandmother, a Cuban immigrant, this is the restaurant that comes closest to making food just like hers. I always get bistec empanizado/palomilla, no matter where I go, and while it is a simple entree, this restaurant serves it perfectly. I can't speak for other items on the menu, but I am sure they are similar in quality. The staff is friendly, and even more so if you actually speak in Spanish with them. Being in there reminds me of being at home.
Pros: authenticity of food
Cons: nothing that I can think of!
