Love this place 5/15/2012

When we lived in the area back in the late 90's, we went to Rileybrook for Valentines Day, took some friends and took my mom and sister. I love the atmosphere sitting in your living room in a comfy love seat. Each time we had wonderful food. Tom was a delight! I can remember the great salad and the wonderful bread pudding with Jack Daniels sauce. Walking along the sidewalk after dark, we didn't know one of the peacocks was roosting up in the tree. He made out that yell and scared the hell out of us. Peacocks make great guard dogs! I don't get back home often so I haven't been there in years and was wondering if it was still around. more

A Very Special Restaurant 10/17/2010

We ate at Rileybrook Hall to celebrate a wedding anniversary because we wanted something special, and that's what we got. This is truly a unique eating establishment. I'm actually hesitant to use the word ""restaurant"" because that doesn't seem to do justice to it. Restaurants throw around the phrase ""eating experience"" rather freely, but Rileybrook certainly qualifies as a really unique eating experience. Don't make the trip to rural Brookville if you're looking for a quick meal, though. This is an all-evening event, one you won't soon forget. And, by the way, if you see a stray negative review, read it with skepticism. Rileybrook earns every one of the five stars we gave it. Indianapolis Monthly didn't name it one of Indiana's 25 best destination restaurants for nothing. more

A Totally Delightful Evening 9/30/2010

What a night...\r Our group of 8 had a delightful evening(9/28). From the walk in the garden, to the menu, to a tour of the kitchen, we all had a great time! We so enjoyed the personal visits by the host/chef! He could not have been more hospitable and entertaining. We were fascinated with the decor and many antiques collected by our hosts.\r We can't wait to bring more friends and family to Rileybrook. more

An Indiana Treasure 9/29/2010

Just stepping on the grounds of Rileybrook Hall is enough to transport a visitor to a peaceful, relaxing experience. The experience isn't just about the amazing dining experience, it's about being transported to a place where time stands still and true relaxation begins. From your first steps under the wisteria arbor, past the boxwood hedges and peacocks, you get the feeling you aren't in Indiana anymore! The hosts work diligently to provide an excellent meal in comfortable yet facinating surroundings. I personally adore the saffron rice soup! The hosts understand the art of allowing their guests to truly converse and enjoy each other. Call the hosts at Rileybrook - reservations are limited due to their popularity. Our friends always jump at the opportunity for Rileybrook, a place where the food is fantastic, hosts gracious and we leave with our friendship bonds even deeper.\r \r more

Best Best Best! My Favorite Place To Dine! 9/29/2010

I can't begin to brag enough about Rileybrook Hall! I dined there on 9-28-2010 and it was wonderful. Everyone must go and enjoy the gourmet meals served at Rileybrook at least once-- as the entire dining experience is such an, ""event"". Trust me when I say that you will never be able to go there just once and it will be your new favorite destination for fine dining! The owners, Tom & Rob who do all of the cooking and serving, are the most professional and polite people ever--they are the definition of, ""class""! The food is mouth watering and the Hall where you dine is amazing-always beautiful and unique. The service is top notch - never have I had more attentive and caring service! I have never in my life written a review for ANY restaurant and It takes a lot to impress me - and I give Rileybrook Hall 5 Stars! You will leave with wonderful memories of a beautiful and classy dining experience ! I hope i have conveyed that Rileybrook Hall is our favorite place to dine and everyone must try it! more

My All Time Favorite Place 9/29/2010

I have gone to Rileybrook Hall in the hills of Franklin\r County many times with my family and friends and \r what a wonderful experience and fabulous food it was.\r The decor catches your breath when you walk through\r the doors. Rob and Tom are the owners who prepare\r and serve your food and they make you feel so welcome\r as guests for lunch or dinner in their home. The landscape and all the flowers are beautiful. I give\r Rileybrook Hall five stars and recommend it to everyone. more

Bad experience 9/3/2010

Had a really bad experience at Rileybrook Hall yesterday at lunch. I asked a question of one of the owners (who was serving) and make an innocuous comment. He became quite rude and I did not say anything else and tried to continue eating. He was not content to let things drop and came back to our table and was very hostile and antagonistic to me. After much verbal abuse and embarrassment, I quietly excused myself to my friends and left the restaurant. Not sure where all this intense anger came from. He made this a horrible experience for everyone in our groupl Food was very expensive ($18 for lunch) and was served barely warm. Pasta noodles were overcooked and mushy. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! more
