We paid $3400 for a new ac/heat system in 01/10. In 05/11 the system stopped working. Gary came over to fix the unit, he told me that I was out of freon & wanted to charge me $158 for the repair. We told him that it should not be out of freon, there must be a leak. He agreed with me filled it with freon & told me he had to come back in a few days with a valve. A couple of days later I found Gary in my backyard replacing the valve w/out even a knock on the door. The unit began working again. In 06/11 it went out again, this time Kyle came out, he couldn't figure out what was wrong with the unit. He said he would come back the next day & never showed up. I left it alone because the unit kicked on & started working again. On 7/2/11 the unit goes out AGAIN. Kyle comes over & tells me that I need a new compressor & that labor is $581 !!! Clearly with a dead compressor & all of the other issues this is an installation error. We expressed to the company that we did not think we should pay the labor & they were going to try to get the company that makes the unit ( Goodman) to pay labor costs. On 7/5/11 I had not heard from the company & we were roasting in our house, I decided to call the company. I spoke to Bobbi who had nothing to offer me except "I'll call someone else to find out what's up & call you back" I got NO call back ! From 7/5/11 - 7/6/11 I called Right now Heating & Air several times (once every couple of hours) to figure out what we were going to do about our busted unit. Every time I called I was told that Rodney ( the owner ) was out of the office & that he would call me when he got a chance. On &/6/11 I decided to stop by Right Now Heating & Air to see if Rodney was in the office, I only saw Bobbi who took down yet another message for Rodney. At this point we had been without air conditioning for 5 days, we also had a sick 3 year old at home. On 7/6/11 just before noon Rodney called me. He was VERY RUDE. He told me that he would not fix my unit & that Right now Heating & Air would not have anything else to do with my unit. I asked for a refund & told him that we wanted the unit out of our possession, he told me no. He also said that if I or my spouse called his office ever again he would call the police. Every time I tried to speak he cut me off & threatened to hang up on me. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. On 7/7/11 I had another company come out to diagnose our unit. They verified that the corrective action that Right Now Heating & Air had done in May had "overcharged" the unit & thus caused it to fail. Also, my new company went up to the unit in the attic to check the unit up there, they said that all of the ducts were hanging with little to no tape holding them in place & that we had been cooling our attic all of this time. I'm very upset by my whole experience with this company & will NEVER recommend them to anyone else !
