    Though mini-chains of Tex-Mex restaurants are as prolific in Houston as oversized trucks, Rico's promises regulars a family atmosphere and dependable Mexican dishes. The decor features all of the requisite kitsch, but it's the cheap margaritas and the sizable menu that keep the locals coming. The menu offers classic fare including enchiladas, cheese-topped combo platters, sizzling fajitas and oversized burritos, plus grilled or sauteed shrimp, red snapper, mahi mahi, baby-back ribs and even quail. There's live music on weekends.
