What a Moron! 11/16/2009

I'm a long time customer, and have never been treated like that. The night manager is RUDE! He acts like he's doing you a favor by getting you your food. He is obviously not happy with his job. If the owner is listening, you better get rid of him, he is killing your business. I wont be back til he's gone, and im not the only one. Cons: The worst service ever! more

Terrible Food 8/20/2008

I recently moved to Metairie from Texas and I was excited to find this establishment down the street from my apartment. That excitement was short lived! more

KarenCoway must have this place confused with someplace else. There are no waiters. It's pretty much self serve. You place your order and pick it up when they call you. The barbecue sauce is excellent. The meats are very lean, no fat, moist and juicy. It melts in your mouth. They have the best potato salad in the world. Been going there for years and will continue to do so. more

best BBQ in this side of TX 9/16/2002

What a flavor this BBQ has--the sauce tastes as if it's been simmering and smoked for days. Meats so tender they melt in your mouth. Best beans I've had at a restaruant. Not romantic, but cute as can be for it's theme. Tucked behind a donut shop, near Corky's on Vets in Metairie. Worth the drive. Good value. GReat for families. Pros: BBQ flavors, good value, cute cowboy atmospher Cons: no bar more

Never Again 7/15/2002

The atmosphere was OK if you didn't mind all the dirty tables around you. We were seated promptly but had to wait for 15 minutes for a waiter. The food was so slow I thought maybe they had to slaughter the animal. The food was mediocre to say the least, I've had much better at cub scout bar b ques. I almost left without paying because it took the waiter 45 minutes to bring us our check after we waited 30 minutes for him to show up at our table. To make matters worse there was only 1 other table that had customers in the whole place. I would hate to see it when it was crowded. I felt like half my vacation was spent in this place. If you have nothing but time I guess its OK. Cons: SLOW, MESSY, LAZY EMPLOYEES more

Small but savory 5/12/2002

This place can get crowded easily, especially in the front, main dining area (sit along the side/back area if you can). But it's well worth it for some of the area's best barbecue. The sausage platter is my personal favorite, but it's all worth trying. The decor is cute...lots of ranch-style decorations and some local color-type photos. You'll probably wait a bit for your food, but again, it's absolutely worth it. Pros: Great food Cons: Close quarters more
