My brother is/was my primary mechanic and when I was in a hurry to get my 1964 Malibu with a rebuilt motor and tranny ""dialed in"" he recommended I go to Rick's. After trying to find a vacuum leak and trouble shooting a few other items, the mechanic felt confident the problem was with the camshaft. Left with little alternative as I HAD to have the car running to move out of state, I had the mechanic remove the camshaft and veryify the casting number as I knew what cam was SUPPOSE to have been installed by the engine rebuilder. The mechanic at Rick's was right--the cam WAS the problem and he installed a mild 350 cam with new lifters and had the car up and going just in time to move out of state! I thought their quality of work was excellent and their diagnosis of the problem was right on. I thought the price for the repairs was very reasonable and I hope I can find a shop that is HALF as competent as Rick's while living down in Texas! I highly recommend them for any of your automotive repairs--especially a classic or muscle car!
Pros: Very informative and quality work!
