My Mazda stalled and would not restart. I panicked, had my car towed to Rick's, and signed on the dotted line. Rick's charged me $65 to tell me I needed a new battery. Then, I was charged $65 to have the battery installed. Rick's Performance - Performs and with Integrety! 7/17/2010

My daughter had her Acura repaired at Rick's. They were timely, professional, friendly and honest. When I had Rick check out the brakes on my own car that I was told needed to be replaced by Big-O, Rick was honest and told me I didn't need new brakes yet. Thanks for your honesty and great work Rick! I will certainly be back when my brakes are ready. Ricks is awesome! more

Great service for RX-7s 9/29/2007

Its worth the drive over to Rick's if you've still got an RX-7. They are helpful and do excellent work on rotary engines. Its nice to find a place that loves these cars. more

  • Ricks Performance was started by me in 1984 in Pleasanton. At that time it was called Ricks Rotary Performance. Right out of college I became involved with the Bay Area RX-7 Club. The club had a lot of events going on such as autocrosses, driving schools and wine country tours. I read up on how to modify my 1979 RX-7 so that it would perform well on the track. Soon, other members came to me and said they noticed that my car was quick and handled well. They asked me who set up the car and I told them that I had. They wanted to know if I would work on their cars as well. So I said that I would.
