I recently had work done and was shocked when I got my bill. Living in Stillwater, I wanted to patronize a local business...should've gotten more estimates ahead of time. Ended up being charged a great deal more than their competitors. Prime example of why the auto repair industry has such a bad rep! Will never go there again. If I could rate a negative star, I would. more

Good service, but be careful of fake reviews... 12/21/2011

I've used these guy's once during an emergency and was very pleased. The bill was high but they worked with me to bring it down $200. I did notice alot of phony reviews on here. more

All good reviews on here a scam!!! Click on the name of each reviewer and you will find that they each only have one post and they are located in Seattle!!!!!!!!! Ricks must have someone post these to boost their ratings. Despicable tactics!!!! I went in for an exhaust repair from the cat back and they quoted me a price of almost 700 dollars!! WAY OVERPRICED!!! This job should be 300 at the absolute highest. I was flabbergasted to find so many phony reviews from Seattle. If you do decide to go, make sure you drink several hundred dollars of free coffee to make up for severe overcharging. A V O I D!!!!!!! more

They are overpriced and I will never will go there again. Check out all of the positive reviews, from members with only 1 review from Seattle WA. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else, there plenty of good repair places around Stillwater. Seeing their scummy tactic with these reviews motivated me to post this. more

ricks 36 is a place id never been, but after seeing such rave reviews on citysearch, and being in need of auto work, i went there to check it out. it is very clean, the guys are very friendly....but it is outrageously overpriced. Thankfully, i was not in dire striats, and was able to secure an estimate before having the work done. They did attempt to upsell extra work, as is to be expected. But the cost they wanted for brakes was crazy. I was able to have it done at another shop for over $400 less. Do yourself a favor...get a second estimate. :) more

Rick's has always been honest and informative about the maintenance and repairs needed on my vehicle! I have been a customer now for about 10 years and I always feel respected and never pushed to make a repair I do not want or understand! Thanks to Pete , Mars and all the guys behind the scenes and under the hood! more
