My fiancee and I ended up walking out of this store yesterday when the staff was unfriendly and practically ignored us. We had an appointment for 5 p.m., so the woman at the counter told us to sit down at a desk across the room and fill out a form. The woman watched as we filled out the short form in about one minute and then sat waiting for 15 more minutes. At this point, it was clear that this wasn't a company we wanted to do business with so we left.\r

It was particularly frustrating because we were coming almost an hour from the northern suburbs and we had an appointment. Whoever was supposed to meet with us should have been expecting us, and if there was something terribly important in the back that justified him or her to leave us sitting there it would have been common courtesy to at least explain that to us. From the telephone conversation I had to set up the appointment to entering the store it never felt very friendly or professional.\r

At this point we have visited with dozens of vendors from reception venues to caterers to event supplies and more. This was our first negative experience. Everybody else seemed to understand that we were about to make a decision that could cost more than $1,000 and that we were planning the most special day of our lives together. It was really surprising how bad the customer service was here, and I'd recommend looking elsewhere, especially if planning something like a wedding.
