I worked at the old Apollo Theatre for a few weeks, and the cast and I would always come over to Richard's to eat. The atmosphere is so friendly, and the food is great!

Richard's On Main 3/7/2006

My girlfriends and I visited Richard's on Main for lunch on afternoon and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and decent service. There's nothing special about this bar/restaurant, but the theming and overall cleanliness is appealing if you're looking for a reliable lunch spot. I hear it gets a little crazier at night, but I think I'm happy with the lunch crowd. more

Richard's on Main is a reliable bar and restaurant in downtown Peoria. It has a fun atmosphere and appeals to both the young and older crowds. Food is standard pub fare, and portions run from average to generous. Beer selection isn't amazing, but I'm sure you can find something to drink. Overall, this is a great place to grab a drink with a few friends. more

  • Richards on Main is located in downtown Peoria, IL, in the lower level of the Apollo Theatre across from the courthouse. They offer the best food in the most unique atmosphere in downtown.

    As you go down the steps to Richards, you get a "Cheers"-like feel, walking into a brick walled restaurant and bar and grill. Richards is uniquely designed, with a dining area separated from the pool and darts area, with a stunning brick and stain glass accented bar that is easily accessed from anywhere in the restaurant.

    The menu features wonderful cuts of steak, delightful options of chicken and fish, "rabbit food" for the salad lover, and of course, the starter menu is what you expect from a local bar and grill, including burgers, wings, fried ravioli, skins, nachos and cheese fries.

    Serving food until 4 a.m., Richards is the place to go to find a great meal, a fun atmosphere, a great selection of beer and wine, and good company!
