I have had nothing but excellent care from Dr. Ricciardi. Never before have I had such a complete eye exam, whereas I have experienced wrong fits and hurried exams by other ODs. The problem with the delay in receiving my glasses was of no fault of r. Ricciardi or his office, but due to the insurance company who forces the consumer to have an order placed even though the frames you want are right there (that way they sell more) and take their sweet time in getting them sent, which delays having the lens cut to fit. His office staff has been more than helpful and patient with my numerous calls to see if the glasses had arrived. He is also a very pleasant, informative and engaging man. I highly recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a new optometrist. more

If I go into Lens Crafters, For Eyes, Pearl Vision... they can pull up my prescription in the computer in about 30 seconds, print it out, and send me on my way. Being that Dr. Ricciardi's office doesn't HAVE computers, well, that's nigh impossible. I had my exam in November and broke my old glasses a month later. I called to ask for my prescription, and the old woman who takes care of the front desk told me she would call me with it when he got out of the exam. She never called. I called 2 days later, and talked to a younger woman who told me that they aren't allowed to call people with prescriptions that I would have to come in and get it. I went in to go get it (weeks later, mind you because of the holiday scheduling). And the older woman again told me that they didn't have my prescription upstairs because I didn't order glasses from them and the Dr. would have to go get it downstairs in the basement. She had no recollection of me in there before, and no one had left any notes about the situation (not that there is a computer to LOG these notes). Finally HOURS later I got a call and was told to come in and get my prescription. I did and didn't understand it, so the Dr. came out and I asked him what it meant. The conversation went like this: Me: What does this mean? Dr: It doesn't matter, they'll know Me: But I want to know what each eye is. Dr. Why? Me: I want to order glasses online Dr. Well, I can't tell you that. Me: OK, looks like I'm google-ing it then Dr. You really shouldn't do that! *I walk out* Why shouldn't I buy them online? Because I can get them for cheaper? I recommend if you want to waste time and money and be aggravated, go to this Optometrist. If not, save your time and buy glasses at Zenni Optical. Pros: The exam is friendly. Cons: They need to step into the 21st century and not be rude! more
