A great place for indy flicks 3/31/2006

I love the Rialto. Prices are about the same as other theaters for food and tickets, and free parking! Nice seating, decent sized screens and a lot of cool movies, both new indy flicks and some old classics every once in a while. No icees, but they do serve coffee drinks as well as the usual soft drink and popcorn. more

Liberal Cinemas 8/5/2005

This movie theatre is funny. The owners and operaters or so thoroughly liberal you can set your watch by them. I know for a fact if a political film comes to the Rialto that it was written, scripted, choreographed and performed by people on the far left of the spectrum. Along with the donkeys there are a few artsy films that come here that I have liked. The nature documentaries have been worth while. Winged Migration was here, I liked it. I plan to see the new penguin one as well. It helps that I get free movie passes to this theatre for biking to work. more

Great 7/25/2005

This is one of the must go places in Santa Rosa. The Rialto theatre features independant, documentaries, and foriegn films. It's a lovely little red building across the street from Howerth Park. The interior is very welcoming. The theatre seats were redone so they VERY comfortable. At times they will play movies like Hitchcock classics on the big screen, which is a real treat. I highly recommend coming here for movie night. more
