I'll start by saying I'm not an audiophile or vehicle customizer in even the most liberal definition. I'm just a Soldier and dad that wants a decent system in the car for the family to enjoy music and video. Sometime in 2012 I went to Rhudy's looking for advice on speakers for my Bronco after an old Pioneer blew out. I met Kyle who took his time helping me select some replacements speakers. I left with a set of Memphis Audios on his recommendation and once I installed them I couldn't have been happier. They sound great and I plan on replacing the rear speakers soon. Fast forward to present day, March 2014. The showroom was a little busy because of lunch time today so I waited patiently. Once Kyle finished with a customer he directed his attention to me. Kyle remembered me and my Bronco after about a year and a half from my first and only visit. Impressive. This time I had a base model Chevy Express van with an AM/FM radio and just two door speakers that was in need of some serious help. The van is going to be a road trip vehicle for the family and needs an upgrade badly. I told him what I wanted out of the system and the priorities (backup cam, Bluetooth compatibility with iPhone 5, dvd, video out port for external monitor) and he listened intently. He showed me some head units and I settled on a Pioneer that met my needs. There was no attempt to get me to upgrade or sell me a unit that was more than I needed. We went out to the van and went over speaker options opting to place Memphis Audios in the factory locations then discussed a back up cam. Back inside he worked up a quote and applied a generous military discount. I was pleased with the prices and agreed that I wanted Rhudy's to perform the install. I called Kyle two more times this afternoon with questions which he was happy to answer no matter how rookie the question was. Out of curiosity tonight I looked up prices online to see just how well Kyle took care of me. Unbelievably Rhudy's prices for all of my required components (head unit, three sets of speakers, backup cam, GM rds harness, and some other adapter) came out $70 less than the best prices I could find online and that's not counting any shipping I would have paid to about four different vendors AND I get professional expertise and service after the sale locally. I am very impressed with how I was treated and listened to. Kyle is a great representative of Rhudy's Car Audio. Hopefully all of their employees are half as good as he is. I can't wait to get the work done. I'll update the review once the work is completed but I'm sure it will be nothing short of 5 stars.
