I never knew how good fresh seafood could taste and just how easy it is to prepare a gourmet meal until I went to Rex's! He actually spent the time to personally teach me not only the preperation of but also the presentation of all sorts of seafoods and all of his delicious sides! I am addicted. I love the one stop shopping for fresh vegetables, prepared dips and soups, and even his wine selection. His crabcakes are awesome, and his seafood enchilladas are my absolute favorite! But nothing will compare to his Lobster Bisque!! Pros: Location, Unique Selection more

Best seafood around 5/28/2008

I am originally from the northeast were the seafood was great and easily accesable. when i moved to dallas i was not able to find or enjoy seafood like i could back home until i found rex's seafood market. they have a great variety of the freshest fish, soups, dips and more. \r \r I have been to many high end restaurants around the area but i would rather save money and cook seafood at home from rex's. cooking fish can sometimes be intimidating but rex and his staff is always there to answer any of my cooking questions. \r By Steve E. \r After having sea scallops & Rex's crab cakes, wife has demanded that I return to Rex's to get more. I didn't tell her I already had plans to return! The flavor was wonderful and the selections available give great latitude to serve a variety of menu items without getting repetitious. Rex's makes food shopping fun.\r Pros: Amazing Crab cakes! Wow! What a fish market! 5/12/2008

This reminded me of a Fishmarket in Monterey California. It had the most beautiful butcher seafood displays I have seen this far from the coast. The election of fis was so varied from cocktail shrimp and Chilean seabass to Yellow fin Tuna and swordfish! One of the unique features was the frozen veal stock, chicken stock and of course fish stock. Rex's seafood market also had a variety of frozen/fresh homemade chowders and sauces. They cater and have wine and a few produce items like veggies and a few mainstays so you don't have to run to the store for garlic or an onion. Fantastic fish market. Possibly the only one in Dallas Yes? Pros: Fantastic fresh seafood market and outstanding service too! more
