On our first visit my wife and I shared a corned beef Reuben and requested potato salad instead of coleslaw. The waitress informed of us of the $2 sharing charge, but we each received a small cup of potato salad. A bowl of pickles, 2 each sour and 1/2 sour were set on our table as well. The corned beef was lean and delicious, but the potato salad was prepared with too much mayonnaise for my taste.
We returned a few months later on a Sunday and each ordered 1/2 corned beef sandwich and paid the $1 extra for the potato salad upgrade. The good news is the potato salad was much better. The bad news is the sandwich was prepared with about 1/2 the corned beef as on our previous visit. Also, when I checked the bill I realized the waitress upgraded our corned beef to lean without consulting us thus costing us an additional $1 each. We won't be returning.
