Urban Outfitters Feel, but a step up! 1/12/2007

This place is cool. It has everything from modern furniture to vinyl handbags. Candels for gifts. They were having some good sales the day I went in and most of my stuff was at 50% off. Even more importanly they were SO nice there. I didn't feel stalked or pressured like there bird-dogging me for commision. Random note: There is a great cafe next door that need to try out also.   • Retrofit is a neighborhood store located in Capitol Hill offering a place to buy furniture, as well as gifts & accessories such as computer cases, clocks, & sassy purses.

    The store counters the notion that contemporary furniture has to be cold, sterile, & expensive. The owners, Jon Milazzo & Lori Pomeranz, encourage people new to contemporary decorating to embrace items they are drawn to instead of worrying about whether it will work perfectly.

    Jon & Lori also offer advice on interior design at the store by home consultations for a fee. They also sell some of their own personally made creations.

    Retrofit Home is a place where you can find that piece to spice up your current living space, recreate it, or just come in to find that unique gift that won?t be forgotten.
