I was surprised how many families went out there for 50 cent Fridays. Then I realized there was activities to do for the kids. They have pony rides and a petting zoo for the kid...

I was surprised how many families went out there for 50 cent Fridays. Then I realized there was activities to do for the kids. They have pony rides and a petting zoo for the kids. The hot dogs and soda are also fifty cents, but I wouldn’t go there hungry or looking for a good hot dog. The kids enjoyed watching the LIVE horse races. There favorite part was when the horses were displayed right before a race. There are a lot of families with different ages that enjoy going on 50 cent Fridays. more

50 cent Fridays! 12/13/2005

Check their website for when they are doing 50 cent Fridays! They are so much fun for the entire family. On those days admission is FREE plus a bunch of free kids activities. Some stuff for the kids to do is pony rides, petting zoo, face painters & much more! Plus Hot dogs & Pepsi are 50 cents each and draft beer is $1.00. We have a great time when we go and we don't spend just tons of money at all. Go and let the kids have fun and have a few hot dogs -- a great Friday night family night. more

Horse Racing 11/30/2005

Retama Park is a good place to get away and watch the horses race. They have designated family nights when they make it affordable to take the entire family. The admission was free and the food was cheap. The kids really like picking a horse and watching it race. They even place small bets to make it exciting. The workers there were all friendly. more
