Before beginning care I was having headaches several times each week. They were preventing me from participating in daily activities. My headaches immediately improved after beginning care. I am a 51 year old wife and mom of 3 college students. I had talked to my MD about my severe PMS, Perimenopausal symptoms and Hypo-Thyroid issues. Last year I suffered with Iliotibial Band Syndrome and Hamstring Tendonitis, this required a couple of months of physical therapy. After a few months of having no systems, the pain returned in the same leg this fall, tenderness verging on pain returned expectantly. Before I began care with Dr. Geck, I felt awful. I was so tired; I would have to take a nap right after work. I also had muscle soreness all through my body. I had allergies so bad that I would get laryngitis often. I was getting much worse. I had been to lots of doctors who told me there wasn't anything wrong with me. They just put me on lots of medication, that didn't seem to help. After 4 weeks of working with Dr. Geck, all the soreness in my body has gone away. When I first came in, I could barely move because I had tweaked my lower back. However, that was not my only problem. For the past couple of years I had pretty much felt crappy. I had very low energy all of the time and pretty much ate horrible foods frequently. I had gained a lot of weight and felt stuck in my early 30's. Three months later, I feel like a new person. I had severe tightness in my neck and shoulder, pain on left side. I would wake several times a night because of pain in my left shoulder and would have to get daily massages to relieve some of the tightness in my neck and shoulder. I don't wake up at night anymore and I can sleep on my left side without any problems. The tightness in my neck and shoulders is gone, even if I have had a very stressful day. I used to think the tightness was due to stress but I have the same stress but no tightness and I love being able to sleep without waking from pain in my shoulder. I was using a nebulizer several times a day and still had difficulty breathing. I also had a chronic cough. I was born with breathing problems, but they got worse as I got older. Last year I was in the emergency room every other month for treatment. I would be alright for a few weeks while on steroids, but then my health would decline again. I had low energy levels and suspected Thyroid problems. I also had bad cramps. Over the course of several months working with Dr. Dan on nutrition, I have managed my thyroid condition and am back to good energy levels. My cramps are improving although I am still working on that. Two things that I never would have realized without Dr. Dan is that my body didn't like chlorine and that my stomach was too high!
