I'll have to strongly disagree with the reviewer who labeled El Chef "authentic". While I'm sure there are bland and cheap eateries in parts of Mexico, I don't think these qualities qualify an establishment as authentic. We live really close and I was hoping to find a new favorite, but all we found was weak salsa, horrible queso, generally bad food and worse atmosphere. Oh, I can't forget to mention that they charge extra for additional (beyond the first) bowls of chips and salsa. Really, just skip it.
