I realize that the Residence Inn line is not a Marriott full service hotel, nor does it cost as much but I actually prefer a Residence Inn in most cases. Not so with this one in Jackson. It is my first disappointment with the chain. Blotches on the counter tops and night stands, stains on the side of my bed from who knows what, decaying wood and peeling paint, slovenly staff, this place was definately not up to Marriott standards. The location is convenient but with that comes major highway noise. Obviously some serious deferred maintenance at play here. Use if you have no other alternative. Pros: convenient Cons: noisy, unkept more

The Residence Inn offers me most of the comforts of home/away from home, as well as high speed internet and lots of office space. Pros: Excellent accommodations, good food, outstanding staff more
