Pita's Republic in Palm Harbor is my favorite place to get a great, fresh, hearty meal at a reasonable price. I discovered Pita's almost a year ago and it continues to be where I want to go for a healthy alternative. You can really feel good about what you are eating here. My favorite still continues to be the Mid-East Piece wrap (with chicken, hummus, tabouli, feta cheese, olives, lettuce & Tahini sauce on a whole wheat wrap), only because I love it so much that I rarely venture to try other things. My husband's favorite is the Mega-Pita and he turns it into a platter with a fantastic salad #freshly chopped romaine with tomato, red onion, cucumber, green pepper, banana peppers, greek olives, and crumbled feta with potato salad). Pita's is his favorite local place for stuffed grape leaves. We have tried several different pitas and have never been disappointed. We just recently tried the spinich pies and they were delicious! Hot and fresh right out of the oven with a side of tzatziki sauce! Another favorite of ours are the fruit smoothies-- blended up fresh with real fruits. They really are all yummy and refreshing! Our favorite is probably the Berry Belly Buster. We are trying to make a point of trying new things. We can't resist coming back again and again- several times a month, and some times even several times a week! They just started doing daily menu specials which are great too! I am looking forward to trying the Baja Fish Fish Tacos, which I hear are great. Check it out for yourself in the Fountains Plaza on the west side of US 19, Palm Harbor -- just south of Alderman Rd.
